Recently, I have read Marie Aubrey J. Villaceran’s Sinigang Short Story which focuses on the main character’s family issues.
There, a child’s point of view in such matter was revealed! Normally, a young one’s opinion about his or her parents’ decision or situation isn’t considered. Villaceran’s Sinigang short story will be an eye-opener that will tackle about the dillema that the youngsters are experiencing.
One of the problems that the main character experiences regarding her family’s issue is that, the thought that her favorite daddy cheated on her mom is already a huge one. It triggers her mental health which change her way of approaching to her father.
Of course, who would be the most affected with such situation? It will be their child. The story depicts how liza feels pain deep inside her as she remembers every detail regarding her father’s mistake.
Also, I can see where her emotions are coming. I know she didn’t want to hate her half-brother Lem for he was an innocent guy, far from the mistake that has been made.
A daughter’s love for her father was conveyed in the story. No matter how hurtful it was form her, she had still forgiven her father.
